Once upon a time ~ a very long time ago ~ I had back pain that began as a young child. My skirt hems were uneven, and my clothes didn’t fit properly. I was diagnosed with a spinal curvature when I was in my early twenties. It would have been so much easier to treat when I was a child. Is it any wonder that I became interested in structure?
Shortly after my curvature was diagnosed I began to see a chiropractor and experienced a lot of relief. Upon experiencing firsthand the benefits of chiropractic care, my career path became clear.
It was a very exciting time to study chiropractic. Many of the legendary great figures that shaped the profession were still alive and teaching, and evidence-based practice was also becoming the standard.
I received a well-rounded education at Logan College of Chiropractic that continues to influence my approach to treatment of my patients even today. Along with basic sciences and clinical studies, I became proficient in the major techniques of the time: Logan Basic, Diversified, Gonstead, Activator®, Sacral Occipital Technique and Applied Kinesiology.
My seven-year-old daughter began seeing Dr. Bird for a very obvious spine curvature that contorted her posture. In Dr. Bird’s care, in only a few months, my daughter’s spine and posture are now straight. I see her regularly myself, after enduring many car accidents and my chronic back, neck and shoulder pain no longer bother me. I am so very grateful for her work, insight and knowledge. ~M.K., Gibsons
I am passionate about changing lives. I love working with people, listening to them and unraveling their symptoms until we find the cause.
I attend chiropractic seminars regularly to learn and enhance all facets of my practice.
I look forward to caring for you, your family and friends.
